I’m not sure what soups and barns have in common (anyone?) but Campbell’s has found a way to link them for a good cause, the National FFA Organization.

America’s favorite soup maker is sponsoring a contest to preserve five barns this year as part of their “Help Grow Your Soup” promotion. Because good soup, as we know, is grown and not made. And then stored in barns. Hmm (mmm good).

For every vote you place, Campbell’s will donate a buck to the FFA, which helps develop America's future farmers and leaders through agricultural education.

If you voted each and every day until the contest ends on January 5, 2010, you’d have personally raised $47 for the cause, and helped preserve five barns. There are ten barns competing in all – from “The Dull Family Farm” in Thornton, Indiana, to “The Just Wait and See Farm” in Union Bridge, Maryland.

The barns are gorgeous and the campaign ingenious, so go take a look. Hay, what have you got to lose?
