Tricks and Treats

If the goody aisle of my local grocery store is any indication, Halloween must be just around the corner. Which, of course, means…it’s almost time to Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF.

With 61 years under its belt, the original Kids Helping Kids program has glammed things up a bit this year with an angelic new ambassador – Heidi Klum – who will serve as the official host of its first-ever Trick-or-Treat for Halloween costume party. Supporters can click here to create a cool virtual costume, plan a Halloween shindig, share spooky stories, create a fundraising page or donate cash to this great children’s cause.

The iconic orange donation boxes are also getting a makeover this year with the addition of a Microsoft tag, enabling young trick-or-treaters to collect cash and/or smartphone swipe. Not a bad trick if you ask me.

Order your tricked out boxes online at www.trickortreatforunicef.org or by phone at 1-800-FOR-KIDS while supplies last.
