Triple Threat

With a fresh new logo, a few choice designer collaborations (Nicole Miller and mng by Mango) and most importantly a brand new charity initiative, jcpenney is setting its sights on becoming America’s favorite store. Customers can literally give their two cents' worth to "jcp cares" by rounding up their purchases to the nearest dollar and donating the difference to a new cause every month.

The program’s first official partner is the USO (United Service Organizations), a nonprofit, non-partisan private organization dedicated to lifting the spirits of America’s troops and their families. Along with round-up donations during the month of July, jcpenney will also donate $1 (up to $50,000) to the USO for each customer that checks in to a jcpenney store via foursquare from July 23-31.

If you can’t make it to a store this month, here’s a quick rundown of where your spare change can help a few great causes this year.

August: 4-H and Boys & Girls Clubs
September: Teach for America
October: The Breast Cancer Research Foundation
November: Share our Strength
December: The Salvation Army
