The Compassion of the Crowd

It was only a matter of time before someone started using the power of crowdsourcing to help regular folks across America with their medical and utility bills, groceries, rent, textbooks, etc. At the new for-profit website GiveLocally.net, givers can decide who they want to support (all pre-screened) – single fathers, single mothers, seniors, kids, military, families, or the disabled. They can then track how and when their donation is distributed and see how it actually impacts the recipient.

I have a feeling this whole “giving locally” thing might just be the way of the future.
